teacher and students assembling food kits at a table and cart

The GCHS Family and Consumer Science program has received a tasty treat that will keep on giving, as participants in the King Arthur Baking Company “Bake for Good Program.”

With more than 500 pounds of flour and supplies recently delivered to the school, the Culinary class has been prepping individual kits for Food/Nutrition and Culinary students to learn to make bread from scratch at home using the ingredients supplied by the company. The included recipe makes two loaves - one they can keep, and one to be shared with someone in need or as an act of kindness.

Bake for Good is King Arthur Baking Company’s free outreach program for students in grades 4 -12, with three goals: learn, bake, and share.
