Jonathan Williams Tessa Blain and Kathy Davis
Wilkey student Tessa Blain has been awarded First Place in the 5th Grade division of the 2019 KET Young Writers Contest for her story Raven's Nest. She was presented a certificate and $50 Barnes & Noble gift card by KET representative Kathy Davis a during a last day of school assembly.

Grayson County Schools Technology Integration Specialist Dee Dee Webb has been honored in the first-annual KET Education All Stars program. She is one of only eight educators from across the state selected. The program salutes educators who exemplify what it means to support student achievement through innovative and engaging use of technology. 
Landon Shiarella and Paul Overton
GCMS 7th graders Landon Shiarella and Paul Overton have received state recognition for their ACT college admissions test scores. The test is offered to the district’s 7th grade Gifted and Talented Education students through the Duke University Talent Identification Program. 
Josh Basham
Josh Basham has been selected as the new Caneyville Elementary Principal. The 13-year educator, and current principal of the Alternative Education Center succeeds George Meredith, who will retire June 30. 
Laura Witten and Josh Baldwin
GCHS has received national recognition for excellence in global education from EF High School Exchange Year, the leader in high school student exchange programs. The award is presented to high schools that demonstrate an extraordinary commitment to international understanding and global awareness.

GCHS students have been hard at work for their community this year, earning the Leitchfield Lions Club Young Leaders in Service Award. The honors, given at 50- and 100-hour levels, were earned by (l - r) AnnaMarie McKinney, Lindsey Mudd, Rebekah VanMetre, Grant Manion, Jacob Smith, Chandler Mudd, Alexis Back.

Grayson County High School has been named one of U.S. News & World Report’s 2019 Best High Schools. The school was ranked #58 statewide, placing it in the top 25 percent.
