Tomorrow, Thursday May 29th, all Grayson County students in 6th-12th grades can get a FREE sports physical at Grayson County Middle School. Please park in the front of the school by the cafeteria any time from 10-1.


Congrats to GCMS Track Athletes and your performance at State! Keilan Hayes finished 7th in the pole vault clearing 7 feet and Levi Masden finished 2nd in the 800 meter dash breaking the GCMS school record formerly held by Houston Brooks. Levi ran a 2:08.25. Jayden Nugent competed in the 300m hurdles running 55.73 and the girls 4X400 of Reagan Coffey, Keilan Hayes, Jessy Smith and Jayden Nugent ran a 4:52.08. GCMS enjoyed a Chorus "Flash Mob" today, all around the building! Because their concert was cancelled due to weather, they got creative on a way to show their talents! Wow!





GCMS students exceeded expectations in our annual Day of Service event yesterday! We hope that we are teaching our students to become successful citizens who have a meaningful impact on their community! Check out these great photos!

GCMS Volleyball dominated at the GRVC Tournament! 8th Grade was Runner Up, with 7th Grade taking the Championship, with an undefeated record for the season! Great job, student-athletes! #PursueThePrize

Congrats to 8th Grade Volleyball for a GRVC Semifinal win vs. Breck Co. ! Both teams will be in the Championship Games at Muhlenberg Co. on Thursday! 7th Grade will face Edmonson Co. at 5:30, and 8th Grade will take on St. Romuald at 6:45!

Congrats to GCMS Archery! At state, the team qualified for Nationals for the second time in GCMS history with a team score of 3099. Huge shout out to Austin Cook. GCMS is now home to the number one boy 7th grader in the state. Austin placed 1st out of 487. He also came in 10th place over all out of 1404 middle school boys!! #PursueThePrize

At the Regional Governor's Cup at South Warren, GCMS Academic Team placed 4th overall! These students placed in individual events and will be headed to STATE: Landry Crowder, 3rd in written composition; Kady Cook, 2nd in written composition; Trinity Clemons, 5th in social studies and 2nd in science; Jocey Stinnett, 3rd in Arts & Humanities Great job, team! #PursueThePrize






At the John Hardin Archery Tournament on Saturday, GCMS placed 1st out of 8 middle schools with a score of 3091. Brynn Bessette shot a 271 and took 2nd place out of 75 middle schools girls. Isaac Fulkerson shot a 272 and took 2nd place out of 94 boys. Austin Cook shot a 272 and 3rd place out of the 94. And, Case Cannon took 5th place with a score of 271. Way to go, archery! #PursueThePrize
