Fall Picture Day!

Chronic absences are a concern across Kentucky's schools. Chronic absenteeism is defined as missing 10% of yearly school time – or just two days a month – for excused or unexcused reasons throughout the school year. When students miss school, they miss out on learning, making it hard for them to keep up with their classmates. They miss out on relationships and social development. They miss out on important projects and learning about teamwork. And they can miss out on graduating on time. Solving this challenge will take all of us working together to keep our children consistently in school.

Senate Bill 181 and KRS 160.145 requires each school district in the state to designate one or more traceable communications systems as the exclusive means for electronic communication between staff, volunteers, and students. The Grayson County Board of Education requires high standards of personal conduct from each student to promote respect for the rights of others and to accomplish the purpose of the Grayson County School District. The Board also requires compliance with established standards and rules of the District and the laws of the community, state and nation. Please review the linked "Code of Acceptable Behavior & Discipline". An acknowledgement of receipt form will be sent home with your child today. Please return this signed form to your child's teacher.
