The Clarkson Academic Team took the District Championship at Governor’s Cup competition, with Caneyville in a tight race for the runner-up spot.
Clarkson’s Quick Recall team of Addison Meredith, Katelyn Crume, Zac Collier, Reagan Meredith, and Landen Swanston took first place in that event. Caneyville took second place in Quick Recall and first in Future Problem Solving. Individual assessment successes ultimately put the Redhawks on top.

Clarkson: Math - Addison Meredith, 5th place; Science - Olivia Graybeal, 3rd place; Social Studies - Reagan Meredith, 1st; Language Arts - Katelynn Crume, 1st; Arts and Humanities - Addison Meredith, 1st, Reagan Meredith, 2nd and Landen Swanston, 5th; Composition - Haydan Parks, 2nd place.
Caneyville: Math - Jake Smith, 3rd place; Science - Kylo Mercado, 1st and Sagan Louden, 2nd; Social Studies - Henry Bohannon, 5th; Language Arts - Anna Napier, 3rd and Owen Neely, 5th; Arts and Humanities - Kylo Mercado, 3rd; Composition - Lexi Geary, 4th place.
Lawler: Math - Carter Smith, 1st; Science - Dean Miller, 4th; Social Studies - Maggie Saltsman, 2nd; Language Arts and Arts and Humanities - McKinley Gary, 4th; Composition - McKinley Gary, 1st and Maebry Herrington, 5th place.
Wilkey: Math - Rainen Chhor, 2nd place and Collin Logsdon, 4th; Science - Ben Embry, 5th; Social Studies - Ellie Stamper, 3rd and Collin Logsdon, 4th; Language Arts - Ellie Stamper, 2nd; Composition - Kenly Taylor, 3rd place.
