CLASS of 2026 is accepting pictures for the Senior Slideshow. Each graduating senior (including those who finished early), can submit a total of 5 (individual/group/baby) pics. Please make sure they are appropriate! If they aren't, they will not be included.

We have the best staff at GCHS, and we love to showcase them, help me recognize our next GCHS Gnomey Homie recipients!!
Angela Hartz - She is a great teacher who is always willing to help others and provide positive encouragement. Her work ethic and genuine care for students and teachers are a true inspiration. She is making a positive impact on many students' lives. We are truly grateful to be able to learn and be inspired every day.
Coach Drake - He does a lot for GCHS! He gets along great with the staff and takes time to talk to students. Most of all, he is a friend to everyone and very deserving of the award. On a personal note, Mr. Rudnick appreciates Coach Drake taking time to talk to him about anything, but mostly sports. It is an honor for him to call you a friend!

We couldn't let National Assistant Principals Week slip by with out giving out a shout out to our AP's!!! They definitely go above and beyond daily to help out our staff and students! GCHS and our community our lucky to have this group and we are thankfully for their contributions towards making GCHS THE BEST!!!

One of our high school students has won a very prestigious award, the first time for a GCHS student. Senior, Katlyn Stevenson, has been named an American Visions Gold Medalist. She is one of only 44 students NATIONWIDE to be recognized by the National Scholastic Art & Writing Alliance. She first entered her oil painting, “She is.” into the Regional Scholastic Art & Writing Awards in December. In our region, the South Central Kentucky Region, she won a Gold Key and a nomination for the American Visions Award.
According to her letter from Christopher Wisniewski, Executive Director of the Alliance for Young Artists & Writers, “Over 110,000 students entered more than 335,000 original works of art and writing to the 2026 Scholastic Art & Writing Awards. [Katlyn’s] work was selected by some of the foremost leaders in the visual and literary arts for excellence in originality, skill, and the emergence of a personal voice or vision. Since 1923, the Awards have celebrated teen artists and writers from across the country.” Katlyn’s piece will be published in online galleries at artandwriting.org, and her name will be listed in their Yearbook 2026, which features selections of works by National Medalists.
As part of her award, she has been invited to National Awards Week in New York City, where she will be recognized and given her medal on stage at Carnegie Hall. This event will be held June 9-11, 2026.

Class of 2026 April and May Dates have been set. Graduates can get a paper copy of these dates outside of Mrs. Harned's office.
Main Graduation will be Friday, May 29 @ 7 pm. Graduation practice is MANDATORY for this graduation, which will be Thursday, May 28 from 8:45-11:30.
Early Graduates Graduation will be Sunday, May 31 @ 3 pm. There will be no mandatory graduation practice.

Congrats to the GCHS Winterguard for going to WKU and delivering a dynamite performance! Kentucky State Champions and Overall Bronze Medalists at the SCGC Championships where 7 different states were represented! Awesome Job!

We would like to congratulate Josie Reynolds on her promotion from Assistant Soccer Coach for the GCHS Boys Soccer Program to her new position as Head Coach of the Boys Soccer Program! The off-season program will be starting soon so get ready to hit the field!
The Grayson County High School Boys Basketball Team made it to the FINAL FOUR for the first time in school history! We couldn’t be prouder of these players and their coaches for this incredible accomplishment. The arena was a sea of orange all three games—what an amazing show of support from our community! 🧡🏀
A Massive Thank You To The GC Community!
GCHS would like to take a moment to thank and acknowledge our community for their support and love for our students. Though highlighted these past few weeks with turning gyms orange, that is just a small part of the every day support our students get from our community.
The community impact on GCHS is everywhere! The Cougar gym was packed this past Tuesday with people supporting our band students, many in the community have been supportive and congratulating archery accomplishments, our business partners in our community are always offering opportunities for job shadowing and co-op opportunities for our students and also make numerous donations to programs through the year, our medical community consistently provides assistance throughout the year, and there are so many more prime examples of community support that we can not list them all!
So whether you are a parent, faculty member, business partner, or community member that supports the Orange and Blue of GC, we truly thank you for your support! Your support to our students defines what it means when we say…WE ARE GC!

The time and detail he dedicates to our students allows them to flourish beyond their own expectations. Thank you for using your talents to improve the lives of the students of GCHS!
Michaela Priddy - The warmth and compassion Ms. Priddy so freely gives make encounters with her a bright spot in any student or staff member's day. Her ability to foster joy in her instruction has excited countless students to attend her classes and has left just as many with fond memories. Her willingness to take on honors and AP courses means she has also opened doors to opportunity for students who would have otherwise been closed.
