When adults admit their mistakes, it sets a good example for teenagers. The next time you catch yourself making a mistake, tell your child—and explain what you’ll do about it. (“I paid my credit card payment late. I’m setting a calendar alert so it doesn’t happen again.”)
Cook up some science in the kitchen. Invite your teen to come up with a fluffier biscuit or a softer cookie, for example. Suggest researching ingredients, temperatures, and cooking times online, and experimenting with them to get a better result.
NTI will continue for in-person students this Thursday and Friday, Feb. 18 – 19. We look forward to welcoming back our A group students next Monday and B group on Tuesday.
When your teen takes notes in class, suggest writing notes on the left-hand page of the notebook and leaving the right-hand page blank. That way, your child will have space to add new information or jot down questions about the notes to ask the teacher. #GCMSOpportunity

In honor of Presidents’ Day, suggest that your teen learn how past presidents shaped history. A good place to start is by researching major events online, such as the Civil War and the Industrial Revolution. What impact did presidents have on the course of history?
