Quick GCMS Nurse Note to our FB community: We currently have approximately 55 students with confirmed flu and flu-like symptoms the past 2 days! This is an early peak to the flu virus and is known to be deadly to our most vulnerable in the community. CDC recommends the flu vaccine even if you recently suffered the flu to help prevent a severe life-threatening illness associated with other flu strains circulating. Think about this as you visit your family with babies, grandparents and many loved ones are most vulnerable. Get your flu shot before the holidays. You will not get the flu from the shot. You do not need a doctor's appointment to get a flu shot. Our local pharmacies take walk-ins!
